classes
Each of our classes is grouped by age and runs for 30 minutes (6 years and over is 45 minutes).
Age groupings enable our teachers to pitch instructions and teach technique at an appropriate level however we do offer some flexibility through age overlap to accommodate your childs busy schedule/naptimes and so on. If you are unsure about which age range to choose, please call or email and we can assist. Teachers assess skill levels at each class and will progress your child as appropriate. Age groups are listed on the timetables.
Our classes are fast paced and energetic. Children spend part of each class following instruction and part with the freedom to express themselves in their own creative way. We want our Rhythm Factory kids to grow up with the freedom to ‘dance like no one is watching’ long after they have left dance school. Rhythm Factory classes give children a taste of jazz, tap and ballet and as such is a wonderful foundation program. Music and song is incorporated in each class – some tunes will be well known and others will become familiar with repetition.
At the end of each term, each group performs a little concert during their last class. The children will follow their teachers lead and showcase all they have learned to their audience. You are welcome to invite family and friends. The concert is very informal and usually attracts lots of giggles, the odd tear from a proud parent and offers fabulous video and photo opportunities!
